Normal Conference is a gathering of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), held biannually each April and October at the Conference Middle in Salt Lake City, Utah During every convention, members of the church gather in a sequence of two-hour periods to listen to sermons from church leaders. Visitors to Salt Lake City could attend a reside broadcast of Music & the Spoken Word featuring The Tabernacle Choir on Sunday mornings. In April 1982, they reverted to the Basic Girls's Assembly format at which a member of the First Presidency and a member of the presidency of each of the three organizations led by girls gave a chat.
